The Top Ten Tuesday prompt for this week was Book Events/Festivals I’d Love to Go to Someday. I chose to go for events in books that I would love to attend.
End of summer campfire at Camp Half-Blood
I would honestly take any chance to be at Camp Half-Blood, but the end of summer campfire always sounds really nice and familial.
Caraval
Being surrounded by the magic and adventure and riddles with Caraval would be amazing.
The Quidditch World Cup
I don’t normally like sports games, but I think I could make an exception for Quidditch and being surrounded by wizards.
The Yule Ball
I don’t really feel the need to elaborate on this.
Any event at the high court of Elfhame, but like, after the end of Queen of Nothing
Because y’know, it wouldn’t really be safe for mortals, but it would be safer with Jude in charge.
Any event with the Rampion crew, but preferably the Kaider wedding
I love all of the main characters in these books and I want to see Kai and Cinder get married!
Any Shadowhunter event, but preferably the Malec wedding from the end of Queen of Air and Darkness
I love this series and the Malec wedding sounded really fun at the end of a very stressful book.
A loop from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
It’d be so interesting to literally be able to go visit a day from the past that’s been preserved, but also to meet peculiars and hear their stories.
The Foxfire opening event from Keeper of the Lost Cities
I really love the world of Keeper of the Lost Cities, and this event always sounds like fun when I’m reading about it.
The Selection
This is less for the whole dating royalty thing and prospect of becoming a princess, and more because of the free food and pretty dresses.
What fictional events would y’all like to attend?
The Yule Ball would be fun!
My TTT .
I love the spin you put on this topic. Though I’m not sure I’d really want to attend any event in the court of Elfhame, I know Jude’s in charge but still…shivers. Free food and pretty dresses is the best reason to attend any event.
Yeah, I was kind of torn on whether I actually wanted to go to Elfhame, but then I figured I could just hang out with Heather and Vivienne if they were there and feel somewhat safe. I agree, free food and pretty dresses are the best reasons to attend anything.
Fun twist on the subject! I couldn’t think of many festivals – real or fictional – for today’s topic. My mind was a blank, so I chose my own topic.
Happy TTT!

Thanks! I agree that this was a hard prompt; I initially wanted to go the real events route, but couldn’t think of nearly enough, so I went the fictional route instead.
Quidditch World Cup and the Yule Ball. Great list.
Here is my TTT.

I love that you included Caraval. I think about that series A LOT more than I should haha. It’s just… so magical!
