It’s been a while since I did a Top Ten Tuesday, but I’m jumping back in with today’s prompt: “Top 10 Books Set In a Place I’d Love to Visit!” It was surprisingly hard to come up with locations for these, but then again, we don’t exactly read fantasy books because they’re set in a world that we would easily survive in, so that does knock off most of my possible options.

A Court of Mist and Fury (Velaris)

I’ve been in love with Velaris (and this book) since reading it in June, and would happily go there in a heartbeat.

Caraval (Caraval, obviously)

Would it be a little scary and probably not my best decision? Yes. Would I still want to go? Also very much yes.

Love & Gelato (Florence)

I would happily go just for the titular gelato alone, honestly.

Tokyo Ever After (…Tokyo)

Tokyo’s so fun, and I would love to go there again.

Love & Other Great Expectations (London + various other UK destinations)

Here’s my review of the book! Definitely check it out if you love books about books, scavenger hunts, or just a good YA romance. The main character travels to various literary-themed locations in the UK for a competition, and it’s just such a good read for any book-lover.

Anna and the French Kiss (Paris)

Was the book the best thing I’ve ever read? No (and that’s by 8th-grade-me’s standards). Did it being set in Paris save it? Yes, yes it did.

Tales From Shadowhunter Academy (Alicante)

I might be killed if I went to Alicante (particularly after the conclusion of The Dark Artifices), but… it sounds pretty.

Percy Jackson (Camp Half-Blood)

Yes, please, let me go to Camp Half-Blood.

Anne of Green Gables (Avonlea)

Avonlea sounds so lovely and fun; I’d love the chance to visit.

Breda’s Island (Ireland)

Here’s my review of the book! It’s a lovely middle-grade book about reconnecting with family and overcoming generational trauma, set against the backdrop of a small Irish village.
