Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is Top Ten Books On My Spring 2021 TBR! It was hard for me to narrow down, but I did succeed in paring it down to ten books, which I didn’t think I’d be able to do.

Chain of Iron, by Cassandra Clare

I just adore the Shadowhunters series, and I absolutely loved Chain of Gold. I’m just waiting for my ebook hold on it to come in from the library so I can read it!

Sweet & Bitter Magic, by Adrienne Tooley

I’m always here for any sort of queer girl high fantasy (looks guiltily at Of Ice and Shadows, which I still haven’t read), so I’m super excited for this!

Perfect on Paper, by Sophie Gonzalez

This book sounds so fun! It’s about a bisexual girl who gives anonymous dating advice at her school, who is then found out and blackmailed into helping a guy win back his ex. I’m absolutely positive I’m going to love it.

Rule of Wolves, by Leigh Bardugo

I’ll admit, I didn’t love King of Scars, but I’m still hopeful for this. I’m rereading the Shadow & Bone trilogy right now, and it’s reminding me how much I love Nikolai (who is definitely the best part of the series), so I’m still looking forward to it despite finding the first book disappointing.

Pride and Premeditation, by Tirzah Price

Pride and Prejudice is my absolute favorite, so I will happily consume any version of it, and this murder mystery retelling sounds so good, so I’m very eagerly awaiting its release.

Written in Starlight, by Isabel Ibañez

I loved Woven in Moonlight when I read it in January, so I’m definitely excited for this companion book. I didn’t like the protagonist of this book in the first book, but I’m still definitely optimistic.

These Violent Delights, by Chloe Gong

I love Shakespeare retellings almost as much as I do fairytale ones, and this version of Romeo and Juliet set in 1920s Shanghai sounds incredible.

Lore, by Alexandra Bracken

I’m all in on anything even tangentially related to Greek mythology, so this was definitely one of my most anticipated releases this year. It’s probably going to be the next book I read, so I hope it lives up to the hype!

Fire, by Kristin Cashore

Graceling was another book that I adored when I read it in January, so I’m very much looking forward to this. Unfortunately, my copy has been sitting in the post office back home (I’m at boarding school currently) since I ordered it from Barnes and Noble over a month ago, so who knows whether I’ll actually be able to read it this spring?

Mazie, by Melanie Crowder

This book, about a 1950s aspiring Broadway actress who gets a job on a touring musical selling farm equipment that takes her back to her hometown, sounds right up my alley, and I’m super excited to read it.
